Monologues....FAST!!!?
Okay! One second I just want you to know I am answering and have an answer!

You should sing %26quot;In my own little corner%26quot; from Cinderella or %26quot;I enjoy being a girl%26quot;

For the monologue....

Why, how impolite of him. I asked him a civil question, and he pretended not to hear me. That%26#039;s not at all nice. [Calling after him] I say, Mr. White Rabbit, where are you going? Hmmm. He won%26#039;t answer me. And I do so want to know what he is late for. I wonder if I might follow him. Why not? There%26#039;s no rule that I mayn%26#039;t go where I please. I--I will follow him. Wait for me, Mr. White Rabbit. I%26#039;m coming, too! [Falling] How curious. I never realized that rabbit holes were so dark . . . and so long . . . and so empty. I believe I have been falling for five minutes, and I still can%26#039;t see the bottom! Hmph! After such a fall as this, I shall think nothing of tumbling downstairs. How brave they%26#039;ll all think me at home. Why, I wouldn%26#039;t say anything about it even if I fell off the top of the house! I wonder how many miles I%26#039;ve fallen by this time. I must be getting somewhere near the center of the earth. I wonder if I shall fall right through the earth! How funny that would be. Oh, I think I see the bottom. Yes, I%26#039;m sure I see the bottom. I shall hit the bottom, hit it very hard, and oh, how it will hurt!

or

Sally: A %26#039;C%26#039;? A %26#039;C%26#039;? I got a %26#039;C%26#039; on my coathanger sculpture? How could anyone get a %26#039;C%26#039; in coathanger sculpture? May I ask a question? Was I judged on the piece of sculpture itself? If so, is it not true that time alone can judge a work of art? Or was I judged on my talent? If so, is it fair that I be judged on a part of my life over which I have no control? If I was judged on my effort, then I was judged unfairly, for I tried as hard as I could! Was I judged on what I had learned about this project? If so, then were not you, my teacher, also being judged on your ability to transmit your knowledge to me? Are you willing to share my %26#039;C%26#039;? Perhaps I was being judged on the quality of coathanger itself out of which my creation was made...now is this not also unfair? Am I to be judged by the quality of coathangers that are used by the drycleaning establishment that returns our garments? Is that not the responsibility of my parents? Should they not share my %26#039;C%26#039;? (SFX: the teachers voice is heard offstage [brief unintelligible squawk voice mixed with electronic static)) Thank you, Miss Othmar. (to audience) The squeaky wheel gets the grease! (exits)
Monologues....FAST!!!?
Here%26#039;s a perfect one! I did it when I was 13!

You got the role? You got cast as annie? That role wast mine, im perfect for it. What did I get? (beat) Understudy!?!? For you!? You%26#039;ve got to be kidding me. You can%26#039;t even sing. Im just telling you so you won%26#039;t embarress yourself infront of everyone. And you know that song she sings, the sun will come out tomoorw. That means its not sunny, and it will be rainy and cloudy and gloomy the whoel time you work on the show. Plus that womens going to be so mean to you just because your an orphan. ANd you dotn even get a cat, just a big, old, ugly dog. Gosh I feel sorry for you. (Beat) What!?!? WIll I play Annie for you? I don%26#039;t know. It%26#039;s a pretty pathetic role. (Beat) All right, all right, Ill do it, but only because Im your best friend.
Reply:i recommend the monologue %26quot;Like Mom, Like Kid%26quot;

when i performed it, it was over a minute but I%26#039;m sure you can cut it down.

it was from a book called Encore if I remember correctly...

hope this helped

Reply:I have done some research on places on the internet where you can find monologues of all types, including teen monologues, monologues for girls, women, men, comical monologues, short comedic monologues, etc. I also answer a lot of questions about how to effectively memorize a monologue as well as about common mistakes that actors often make while performing a monologue for an audition. On this page on my site for new and aspiring actors, you will find all that information including links to the types of monologues you are looking for. http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/comic...

Good luck in your audition.

Tony
